This is the header page to the Kent Files “A Family Archive”.
Joseph Whiltingham Kent (JWK) was a mystery to most of his grandchildren. Even his name was unknown. This was strange, especially because his wife Lucy Lovekin was so present in her families’ lives. She stayed often with her daughters and participated in the raising of their children.
I was told by my mother, his eldest daughter that he “disappeared in Poland after the war.” There was no further information from her.
JWK and Lucy Lovekin had five children Constance, Leslie, John, Josephine, and Barbara. They separated some time before 1940.
He fell for a young work colleague, Eileen Shaw in the early 1940s. They had one daughter Rosemary.
Joseph later established a relationship with 26 year old Mandomatina Tsolomiti. They had 3 daughters Josephine, Kathleen, and Artemis.
