J.W.Kent – background documents on UNRRA

The following documents provide some background information on the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration which provided employment for JW Kent during some of the 1940s.

There is an interesting description of some aspects of UNRRA here (link) copied from the autobiography of Frank Munk who was recruited to train personnel for operating UNRRA.

The following document is a report by the US Director General of UNRRA produced in 1945 on the establishment of the organisation in Europe.

UNRRA was subject to several discussions in the UK Parliament. Here is one example downloaded from Hansard.

Rosemary Shaw placed a request in Saga Magazine for information regarding JWK and UNRRA. Some of the correspondence is copied below. There is no one who came across JWK there.
